Tea has also been a constant in my life – as soft background music, a motif, a pattern, a symbol, the constant once I became aware of it, until I started to truly bring it to the forefront and center of my life and career that I’ve always been passionate about.
Key To Teas is a continuation of this personal journey and also a strong push from God to keep going and to use me to reveal my true sense of purpose, which is shedding light to the less privileged and personally for me, advocating for women and orphaned children.
Our Mission is to create a modern-day tea culture by delivering the highest quality, innovative tea products with a social responsibility.
It is a place to keep me accountable and to reach for the road less travelled from a woman’s perspective. An avenue to keep exploring different cultures and people where humanity is resilient and adaptive. I truly believe the world is flatter than we think and that we are all looking for the core fundamentals of life which is belonging alongside the human need for food and shelter. Not to undermine our human needs, the song, “It’s a Small World,” comes to mind. It’s always been my favorite song and record since I was a little girl and I take joy when I hear my youngest toddler humming this tune, a song written in 1962. Now, that’s a Sherman Brothers legacy!
“It's a world of laughter
A world of tears
It's a world of hopes
And a world of fears
There's so much that we share
That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world
There is just one moon
And one golden sun
And a smile means
Friendship to ev'ryone
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world”

Our company is built on a platform to connect, collaborate, form partnerships with like-minded people with a similar purpose in this vastly changing world.
Tea is indigenous to both China and India and also growing in vast growing regions of the world. It continues to unravel and open the doors to discovering my ethnic heritage, my adopted heritage and I hope to be able to continue this journey of bringing the stories of tea growers, producers, suppliers, purveyors to light as well as bring the diversity of the discerning American palate into this narrative. The Universe may not care about us individually, but as a collective, we can move the needle to empower and help women where there is strong gender disparity in the world, especially in tea producing countries.
With heart, compassion and gratitude, I hope you will join me in these efforts.
